The Ho Municipal Hospital has recorded two cases of the Coronavirus disease, sources at the Hospital confirmed to the Ghana News Agency.

The two cases are a health worker and a patient, said to be a Police recruit.

The GNA was told the cases were detected through routine surveillance and that the two, were receiving care at the COVID-19 isolation and treatment centre at the Ho Teaching Hospital.

Consequently, the OPD of the Hospital and the Emergency Unit have been shut down for disinfection.

Authorities at the Hospital said all facilities and wards were being fumigated before reopening on Monday, May 25.
With the new recorded cases, the Region’s case count jumps to 45 with 28 recoveries and two deaths.

The Regional capital, Ho, had eight COVID19 positive cases as at Thursday, May 21, 2020.
