The Coalition of Young Liberals (COYLIB) has strongly condemns the scathing attacks emanating from the quarters of the National Organizer of the NDC, Kofi Adams on the NPP?s Flagbearer Nana Akuffo-Addo.
In a press release, COYLIB noted that ?the attack is deceitful attempt to denigrate his hard won reputation.
“We acknowledge that in a democratic dispensation, every group with the aim of contributing to the deepening of a democracy welcome constructive criticism that can help shape ideas into real actions. However, comments from the National Organizer of the NDC are insults to Nana Akuffo-Addo and the entire NPP family across the world.”
According to the group, the inexcusable conduct and behaviour of Kofi Adams is a contributing factor to the real erosion of public confidence in the NDC led administration over the years.
“Kofi Adams has consistently exhibited the highest level of desperation to impress his political surrogates. An example of this fact is a press conference he spearheaded in February 2015 in attempt to respond to the Wongbo demonstration at the displeasure of his party?s Deputy General Secretary who eventually described him as ?saboteur? who lacks administrative foresight.”
COYLIB in in the spirit of generosity advise Kofi Adams to grow up and not to allow himself to be remotely controlled like a juvenile dog; thus affecting his reasoning on national issues, saying that, “Ghanaians are in a state of despondency; Living standards of the masses under NDC government is worsening on a daily basis, cost of business operations have unimaginably increased due to the constant energy crisis, petroleum and gas increment.”
“…. The growing unemployment, coupled with higher taxes had already culminated the bad situation of citizens to worse conditions. These are the pertinent issues a party?s Organiser should focus on.
Kofi does not have identity and by far has no record of accomplishment of serving the nation in any capacity not even assembly member.”
They have also enumerated that?Nana Akuffo-Addo has always encouraged competition at all levels in the NPP and this fundamental tool underpins the tradition of the party.
Nana Akuffo-Addo experiences and diplomacy, COYLIB stated, stands tall both home and abroad as a true public official.
“It is imperative for the National Organiser of the NDC to know that the freedom of speech he is enjoying by moving from one radio station to another came into force by the excellent work of Nana Akuffo-Addo in repealing the criminal libel law imposed by the NDC government over two decades ago.”
COYLIB ?cautioned the National Organiser of the NDC to be careful with his utterances.
