The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has unveiled its timeline for the forthcoming presidential primary elections, scheduled to culminate on August 24, 2024.
At a press conference held at the party’s headquarters, Congress Committee Chairman Nana Mireku Tumi disclosed the details of the electoral process. The nomination period for the National Flagbearership election will open on July 24, 2024, and run until August 20, 2024.
Additionally, Tumi outlined that the vetting of flagbearer candidates is slated for August 6-7, 2024. The official campaign will commence on August 9, 2024, and conclude on August 23, 2024, leading to the elections on August 24, 2024.
The CPP’s internal elections are poised to determine the party’s presidential candidate for the upcoming national elections, marking a pivotal moment for the historic party.
