The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has refuted claims that it appointed Sylvester Sarpong Soprano as its Director of Communication, emphasizing that he has not been authorized to represent the party.
In response to recent statements made by Soprano regarding Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s apology on behalf of the CPP, the party clarified its stance through Joyce Larbie, Deputy Secretary. Larbie’s statement categorically dismissed any invitations extended by Soprano on behalf of the CPP. It urged the public and media to disregard such representations.
“The Convention People’s Party (CPP) write to inform your firm that the party’s current administration has not appointed Sylvester Sarpong Soprano as the Director of Communication and has not been authorized to speak on behalf of the party as such,” Larbie stated.
The CPP further underscored the importance of journalists abstaining from engaging with Soprano regarding matters concerning the CPP party.
For further inquiries, the CPP encouraged direct communication with its authorized representatives to ensure accurate information dissemination.
