Samuel Abu Jinapor, Member of Parliament for Damongo Constituency, has donated a second ambulance to the Busunu Health Center in the Savannah Region.
This donation replaces the first ambulance provided by Jinapor, which recently experienced engine failure.
At a handover ceremony at the Palace of the Busunuwura, Jinapor emphasized his commitment to improving access to quality healthcare.
He expressed confidence that the new ambulance would enhance the centre’s ability to respond to emergencies and facilitate patient referrals to the Damongo Catholic Hospital and other facilities.
Jinapor also urged the community to ensure proper maintenance of the new ambulance, citing issues with the previous vehicle’s upkeep.
He announced plans to transfer the first ambulance to the Achubunyor electoral area to assist with emergencies in that region.
Looking ahead, Jinapor revealed several upcoming projects in Busunu. These include the official inauguration of the Busunu Astroturf, which he financed, and the commissioning of the Busunu Senior High School upon its completion.
Additionally, he plans to oversee the construction of new classroom blocks and expand electricity access within the Busunu electoral area.
The paramount chief of the Busunu traditional area, Busunuwura Monasa Jonokpowu, praised Jinapor for his substantial contributions to local healthcare and development projects.
He expressed deep gratitude for Jinapor’s ongoing efforts and encouraged him to continue his support.
In a separate meeting with the Busunu Health Center staff, Jinapor pledged to provide three new motorbikes, a generator set, a delivery bed with lamps, medical supplies, and renovation work at the facility.
He also committed to constructing a nurses’ bungalow to address accommodation issues raised by the staff.
Jinapor’s continued support aims to bolster healthcare services and address various infrastructural needs within the Damongo Constituency.
