Daniel Amartey has arrived in the EPL to join Dodoo and Schlupp
The arrival of Daniel Amartey at Leicester City could improve Ghana’s chances of securing England-target Joe Dodoo ahead of the Three Lions as he joins the prodigious forward and international team-mate Jeffrey Schlupp.
The 21-year-old passed medicals and sealed a three-and-half-year deal reportedly worth £6 million from Danish giants FC Copenhagen.
Amartey, a former Inter Allies – Ghana Premier League side, player, joins his international team-mate Jeffrey Schlupp at the King Power Stadium as well as English-born Ghanaian youth forward Joseph Dodoo.
Amartey and Schlupp will further tighten their bonding at Leicester while the Ghana FA can now have a stronger stance to lead the race to land Dodoo who is also on the radar of the England FA.
Dodoo has recently returned from his loan spell at Bury but is yet to make a first team appearances since his return and will meet with Amartey and Schlupp at training after their Premier League game against Stoke City.
Both Schlupp and Amartey are expected to watch from the stands at the King Power Stadium on Saturday as Leicester City host Stoke City.
Schlupp still has a couple of weeks to return to training after undergoing surgery while Amartey’s documentation is still incomplete.
