TP Mazembe Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei insists his side is staying grounded despite their crucial win at US Algiers in the first leg of the CAF Champions League.

The Congolese giants recorded a precious 2-1 win over the North Africans to put them in good stead ahead of the return leg in Lubumbashi.

But the former Kotoko midfielder insists the side won’t get complacent ahead of the final showdown.

“It’s not yet a done deal. We have won one but anything can happen in the second leg. They can come here (Congo DR) and surprise,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM

“We have to prepare to beat them and win the Cup.”

The former Kotoko midfielder played a cameo role as the side recorded the win in Algiers.
