Debate Innovation is gearing up for its first-ever National Championship, marking a significant milestone in fostering intellectual engagement and civil discourse among students nationwide.

The journey to this pinnacle event has been marked by rigorous competitions showcasing the exceptional talent and dedication of young debaters from diverse regions.

First Senior High Schools Debate Sets the StageThe inaugural Senior High Schools Debate kicked off on June 15, 2024, when students convened from across the country for intellectually stimulating debates. Among the top ten winners were:

  • Mckenzie Damprani (1st place, Chemu SHS)
  • Clement Yeboah (2nd place, Tweneboah Kodua SHS)
  • Rifkin Odio Nii Odai (3rd place, Chemu SHS)
  • Tiffany-Cyril Akalaonu (4th place, Lahone SHS)
  • Pearl Amago (5th place, Chemu SHS)
  • Diane Otemah Andoh (6th place, Tweneboah Kodua SHS)
  • Vin-Manuel Nyadzordzi (7th place, Chemu SHS)
  • Dennis Frimpong Bonsu (8th place, Tweneboah Kodua SHS)
  • Nicholas Delali Adonu (9th place, Chemu SHS)
  • Nutsugah Cyril (10th place, Chemu SHS)

Tema District Qualifiers Highlight ExcellenceOn July 13, 2024, Princeton Academy hosted the Tema District Qualifiers, where 155 participants competed fiercely for spots in the National Championship. Notable winners from this district include:

  • Boateng Paul (Phildent International School)
  • Isaac Junior Mensah (Princeton Academy)
  • Jessica Boateng (Phildent International School)
  • Gifty Yawson (C.P. King of Glory)

Ningo-Prampram District Qualifiers Nurture Future LeadersThe final qualifiers on July 20, 2024, in the Ningo-Prampram District saw more bright students competing passionately for a spot in the National Championship, including:

  • Defor Adu Murphy (Final Choice School)

The Final 30: Champions of Intellectual DiscourseWith the conclusion of qualifiers, 30 students have emerged as finalists for the National Championship. These students epitomize Debate Innovation’s mission of cultivating sharp minds and future leaders through rigorous training and competitive spirit.
