Adumua Bossman, the current Deputy Chief of Staff, addressed the press to discuss recent initiatives to improve the management of confiscated assets and enhance overall government efficiency.
Bossman highlighted that the administration’s focus on the prudent management of confiscated assets aligns with broader goals to reduce governance costs and generate additional revenue.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring operations within the State House and its affiliated agencies adhere to established statutes, regulations, policy decisions, and presidential directives.
“The decision to streamline and oversee the allocation of confiscated assets is part of our commitment to resource management and cost reduction while simultaneously raising revenue,” Bossman said.
He noted that the administration is implementing new policy directives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency in government functions.
Bossman elaborated on recent discussions with President Akufo-Addo regarding the administration’s stricter approach to monitoring confiscated assets. “I have received a directive from the President to ensure strict oversight of all confiscated assets during this administration,” he stated.
In his engagement with freelance journalists at his office, Bossman discussed the collaborative efforts between his office and various government agencies regarding the allocation of confiscated vehicles.
He emphasized the need for effective coordination among these agencies to support the government’s renewed agenda and meet the Ghanaian people’s expectations.
“The goal is to ensure coherence and collaboration as we work together to achieve President Akufo-Addo’s renewed government agenda.
Coordination is essential for government success and meeting public expectations,” Bossman asserted.
He also stressed the importance of compliance with the Public Procurement Act, civil service rules, and service guidelines related to confiscated assets, promotions, and presidential approvals. “Demonstrating excellence in our adherence to these regulations is crucial,” Bossman added.
