Action resumes at the 2013 AYC in Algeria on Tuesday evening with derbies involving Ghana, Benin, hosts Algeria and Egypt.
It will be a West African derby when Ghana lock horns with Benin, while a bitter North African rivalry will be reignited when Algeria tackle Egypt in the later game of the day.

Egypt, who finished third at the 2011 tournament in South Africa, lead the standings after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over three-time champions Ghana on Saturday.

Algeria and Benin are on a point each after they played out a 0-0 draw in their own match.

Both Ghana and Benin clashed in a friendly in Ghana last year. The game ended in a draw with Benin outplaying their hosts to lead to the sack of coach Orlando Wellington.

Sellas Tetteh has since taken charge of the Lawrence Lartey-skippered Black Satellites and will want to prove that it was not a fluke when he led the same team to win an historic FIFA U20 World Cup in 2009.

Injury has ruled out Egypt striker Mahmoud Hamad, who scored his team?s opening goal against Ghana on Saturday.

Algeria, on the other hand, are hard pressed to win their first game as they still nurse the dream of qualifying for a first-ever World Cup.
