Just days after Kathleen Zellner filed a motion not only accusing investigators of planting evidence in the case of Making a Murderer star Steven Avery, but also claiming the 54-year-old “has already completed a series of test that will conclusively establish his innocence,” Det. Andrew Colborn is speaking out on the defense attorney’s claims that the investigator seized victim Teresa Halbach’s car on Nov. 3, 2005 — two days before it was officially “found.”

“[Zellner’s claims] are as ludicrous as anything else she’s come up with, and beyond that,” Det. Colborn exclusively tells In Touch.

In response to allegations made by Zellner that law enforcement moved Teresa’s vehicle, Det. Colborn tells In Touch, “I don’t have any other comment other than that is ludicrous.”

Despite Det. Colborn’s insistence that law enforcement has an “airtight case against Mr. Avery,” he says Zellner’s decision to file the motion didn’t come as a shock.

“I’m not surprised at all,” he tells In Touch. “The war against law enforcement continues and I’m not surprised at all.”
