Led by President Abraham Nkansah aka Apirigu Chakapama and some representatives as well as coordinators, he said they were impressed by his humble nature and prayed that the Almighty God will protect him to stay for a long time as Minister of Youth & Sports to ensure that the promises of the government are executed.

The Minister said he had planned to meet all the 31 supporters groups at a forum, and urge them to unite as one body or group before they can attract support or sponsorship from the government and corporate Ghana.

Hon. Asiamah who is also a Member of Parliament stressed that he does not want sports to be influenced by politics and would not support any particular group unless they are united, and that is where they can reap the full benefits as supporting group.

He noted that sports is supposed to unite the nation and all supporter should be singing one song with one loud voice than all the 31 groups singing different songs.

He ordered them to overcome their problems and try to solve and bury differences as that is the only way to move forward.

Abraham Nkansah recalled some of their achievements and awards in cheering since they were founded in 2008 including a SWAG Meritorious award in 2013, the Happy fm sports fans award in 2014 and the Sports Excellence award in 2015, in addition to best supporters group by the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC). He said the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the Ghana Beach Soccer Association (GBSA) and the Ghana Weightlifting Federation (GWF) also recognized and rewarded them which they are very proud of.
