Discerning Ghanaians prefer a Squeaky-clean Visionary person as President to……….

Being a well-informed and discerning Ghanaian, I will prefer a squeaky-clean visionary person to lead Ghana. Age as they say, is just a number. An old man with vision, dynamism, dedication, experience?and unflinching willingness to lead his people out of poverty and self-inflicted slavery is more preferable to a young visionless person awash in corruption.

Whenever I?open my?eyes after a moment of contemplation, I see only two possible figures able to win the upcoming December 7, 2012 presidential elections.?I intentionally refused to use the word credible?to describe both candidates because one of them is not, hence, the word possible. The two persons I see?are?Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo whom I prefer to call “Nana Obuggie” and caretaker-President John Dramani Mahama.

Nana Akuffo-Addo has claimed on air and in public that he is not corrupt. At his age, old, experienced as he is, he has lived incorruptibly throughout his private and public work life. Is there anyone out there to challenge his authoritative assertion? No. Is there any challenger? No, there is no challenger! This man as determined as he is, to rid Ghana of illiteracy, by making it possible for all willing Ghanaian children to acquire Senior High School (SHS) level education, is a person that Ghana needs. From his in-depth experience, he knows that no country can?develop socio-economically without a highly resourceful human base. You can only develop a country’s human resource base?through education hence, the credibility of Nana Obuggie’s?free educational policy. Education in general, and quality education, must be accessible to all without discrimination bordering on finance or gender.

More importantly, where the head is sane, the entire body is healthy. Official corruption at the presidency, cabinet, parliament and the judiciary levels are the bane of the development of Africa in general, and Ghana in particular. Common sense dictates that if the head of any institution is not corrupt, he will ensure his immediate subordinate does not steal. Why should he allow his junior to enrich himself illegally if he is distancing himself from corrupt practices? It is from the Head that it filters through to the ordinary labourer walking down the street. This is the belief of the personality called Nana Akuffo-Addo.

On the other hand, President John Dramani Mahama is the very opposite of Nana Akuffo-Addo. He is young, corrupt and visionless. He has been wallowing in gargantuan corruption with the babies in the NDC government?who are bearing sharp teeth that are able to bite into bones. Has he not kept his silence all the while that NDC Ministers like that fiendish Okudzeto Ablakwah?goes out?conniving with, and boldly defending dubious individuals and companies trying hard to swindle Ghana? How?justifiable are?Ghanaians sitting on the fence watching these rogues?plunder the coffers of Ghana with impunity and still have the shameless audacity to ask us to re-elect them on December 7, 2012? If John Dramani was as clean as Nana Akuffo-Addo, he might have voiced out against the corruption that has become an albatross hanging around the neck of the NDC.

President Mahama and the NDC are best at telling lies, practicing corruption and secretly enrolling hoodlums to maim and kill innocent Ghanaians on the election day.

Determination backed by action is the key to success. Nana Akuffo-Addo is determined to put Ghana back on the moral high grounds,?sound economic pedestals and the moving prosperity wagon.?He has an ocean of wisdom, intelligence and experience with which to realise his prosperous visions for Ghana. As he tells what he plans doing for Ghana, John Mahama and his myopic bunch of idiosyncratic sycophants are only hooting the phrase or sentence,?”he can’t do it”, without offering alternative policies or solutions.

I leave fellow Ghanaians to make their own individual decisions as to who and which party to vote for after reading my gospel truth submission. However, I would advise you to vote Nana Akuffo-Addo and the NPP if I had my own way. I will soon be mounting on platforms campaigning for Nana Akuffo-Addo and the NPP.?I have had enough of the nonsensical propaganda, lawlessness and aimlessness of the NDC party and government. We need a change in government and change we must have.

I salute Nana Akuffo-Addo. All the NPP faithful should go out in their numbers knocking on doors requesting electorates to vote Nana Akuffo-Addo and the NPP come December 7, 2012. We should not be sitting in the comfort or the misery of our homes thinking God has done it, or, will do it. We have to be serious and realistic. We have not won the elections until the Electoral Commission have declared the results in our favour. Nevertheless, the good and ever gracious God Almighty has heard our cries for a change in government and a change He will grant us on December 7, 2012. Amen.
