A group of armed robbers undertook their nefarious activities at the Methodist Church at Domenase near Bekwai in the Ashanti region.

The hoodlums reportedly stole an amplify, mixture, generator and other musical instruments of the church worth GH?10,000.

The theft of the property of the church, which took place over the weekend, was announced on Kessben FM in Kumasi on Monday.

According to the report, the robbers launched the attack at a time when the church?s auditorium was quiet.

Some youth of the church reportedly went for the items from the church?s Mission House for a programme earlier on the day.

After the youth programme, the musical instruments and the generator were kept at the church?s auditorium, which was locked.

The unidentified armed robbers however managed to break into the auditorium in the night when everybody had left.

Reports suggest that the security personnel at the church did not report for duty on the day.

Church service on Sunday was said to have been adversely affected by the theft of the musical instruments.

The paper learnt that armed robbers terrorized the congregation last year.
