The Dondi University Campus project, a Chinese-built project located in the municipality of Cachiungo, Huambo Province in central Angola, is expected to complete its construction works by March this year.

The project, which is constructed by China Railway 20th Bureau Group Corporation (CR20), has entered its final inspection and acceptance phase, CR20 told Xinhua on Sunday.

According to CR20, Angolan President Joao Lourenco visited the project on Saturday and expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of the construction and praised the campus environment.

The project started on Sept. 15, 2022 and covers a total area of 10 hectares. Upon completion, the university will simultaneously accommodate 3,000 students, offering courses such as architecture, civil engineering, agricultural engineering, nursing, clinical, biological sciences, theology, and psychology.

The owner’s representative, Executive Secretary of the Evangelical Congregational Church in Angola, Abel Sangunde, praised the Angola-China cooperation in talent training, saying that China is one of Angola’s important cooperation partners.

“China participates in the reconstruction of Angola in many ways, and now, with this institution, we have an additional advantage. Particularly the company CR20, which has shown its construction quality over time. This also reveals that the Angola-China cooperation has resulted in many positive aspects,” he said.
