Prophet Dr Akwasi Agyemang Prempeh, General Overseer of the Springs of Joy Ministries International, has called on the public to support the vision of government to build national cathedral because it forms part of the infrastructure development.

He said it is befitting to have national infrastructure where “we honour our God who has given us all the resources to build our nation”.

Prophet Agyemang made the call when delivering his New Year’s message at East Legon in Accra on Tuesday.

He said building a national cathedral was not against the secular status of Ghana and urged Christians to be the light of the world like Jesus Christ did and make an impact on the lives of people around them.

He warned against the domination of the airwaves by hate speeches.

Prophet Agyemang said incessant trading of foul speeches especially by budding political figures and the younger generation, has the tendency to disrupt the peace and the unity that the country had enjoyed over the years.

He urged religious leaders to desist from all forms of negative tendencies that may tarnish the image of the clergy.

Prophet Agyemang said the church has acquired a 100-acre land at Dodowa in the Shai-Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region to put up a school and a hospital to complement government’s efforts of providing quality education and healthcare for all Ghanaians.
