The Adwenpa Herbal Clinic at Akweteyman in Accra will use Public Holidays for health screening to help improve the health of the people.
Dr Yaw Opoku, Chief Executive Officer of the Clinic, disclosed this at a Free Public Health Screening at Akweteyman in Accra.
He said the free medical screening initiative, forms part of the Clinic’s Corporate Social Responsibilities.
Dr Opoku said the country could be developed only when its citizens are healthy.
He urged the public to desist from self-medication since it could contribute to health implications.
‘’Self Medication is not a good practice. Because the exact cause of illness is not known the right diagnoses cannot be made.’’, he said.
Dr Opoku urged the public to report all medical conditions to hospitals and health institutions to enable them access proper healthcare from qualified heath personnel.
He gave the assurance that the clinic will continue to offer quality herbal treatment for the public at all times.
The Chief Executive Officer said the clinic has specialists and equipment to handle all kinds of diseases.
About 400 people were screened for malaria, hepatitis ‘’B’’, High Blood Pressure, diabetes and other ailments.
