Dr Abu Sakara Foster, 2012 presidential candidate of the Convention People?s Party (CPP), has urged the Ghanaian electorate to choose competent leaders both at the presidential and parliamentary levels in the December general elections.

He stated that this year?s election would decide the future of the country for the next 50 years.

Dr Sakara indicated that the country would be doomed if the electorate fail to vote the CPP to power on December 7.

Dr Sakara made these remarks when he took his National ?whistle stops? campaign to the Chereponi Constituency in the Northern region.

The entire township of Chereponi came to a standstill when Dr Sakara arrived. Accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Lily Sakara Foster, National Organizer, Abu Forgor, National Women?s Organizer, Hajia Hamdatu Haruna, Northern Regional Executives as well as members of the Campaign team, Dr Sakara called on the Chief of Chereponi, Jaminja Gomna Malaba V, where he asked for his prayers and support to enable him undertake the task ahead.

He also used the occasion to introduce the CPP parliamentary candidate for Chereponi Madam Rebecca Namana Jabari to the chief.

The chief, on his part, assured Dr Sakara and the CPP of his support as well as that of the elders in his territory.

Dr Sakara, after meeting the chief, proceeded to the market center to address the enthusiastic crowd that had gathered there to catch a glimpse of him.

The CPP 2012 presidential candidate tasked the people of Chereponi to entrust the future of the country into the hands of the CPP by voting massively for him and the party?s parliamentary candidate, Rebecca Namana Jabari.

According to him, members of the other parties were all thinking about their stomach, husbands, wives, children and families.

?They are not thinking about you, they are only asking for your votes and after they will neglect you,? Dr Sakara said

He challenged the people to ignore their political affiliation and decide for the good of Ghana.

Dr Sakara told the people to demand straightforward answers from those who were promising to create jobs since they were the same people who supervised the collapse of 400 factories established by Ghana?s first President Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, founder of CPP.

?Do something different in this year?s election, do something different with your life; you cannot be staying at the same place all the time complaining. Do something different and you will see something different,? Dr Sakara said.

He expressed his delight at meeting the people and urged them to be peaceful ahead of the December elections.

Madam Rebecca Namana Jabari advised the electorate to cast their ballot to ensure a bright future.
