An Accra Circuit Court on Monday remanded Richard Abalami, a bulldozer driver into police custody for allegedly possessing a firearm without lawful authority.
The Accused person, who pleaded not guilty would reappear on June 5.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector, K. Adu told the court presided over by Abena Adjin-Doku that the complainants in the case were Police personnel stationed at the Regional Police Command.
He said on May 5 at about 2300 hours, the Police Patrol team were on their routine duties within the Accra Metropolis, on reaching the Kwame Nkrumah Circle around the Railway lines, they spotted the accused holding a bag.
He said the Police suspected the accused to be carrying contraband goods.
The prosecution said the accused actions were suspicious to the personnel and arrested him, a search conducted in the bag revealed a locally made pistol and two BB live Cartridges.

The Prosecution said the accused was taken to the Regional Police CID and during interrogation, he mentioned one Badu as the owner of the gun, who have asked him to take it to Kumasi, where they came from.
The prosecution said he however, failed to lead the Police to locate the Said Badu.
