Dromankese, Nkoranza Yam Festival Attracts Ghana?s top Spiritual Workers

Dromankese, a town in the Nkoranza North in the Brong Ahafo region, is celebrating its annual Yam festival in honour of the divine deities and the ancestors and the confirmed special participants look like who is who in Ghanaian spirituality.

The traditional priests and priestess who have arrived already according to our correspondent Okyeame Bismarck and Okomfo Nana Appiah are the following:

Nana Joe Boye from Babaso Ejiru
Nana Adama from Bonte
Nana Bright from Bredi
Nana Akwasi Kanawo from Kumfia
Nana Afia from Takyiman
Nana Ategya From Atebubu
Nana Kwaku Ansah from Seko
Nana Kwarteng from Tanoso Takyiman

Expected tomorrow  are some of the powerful names in Ghanaian Akom viz:
Nana Kudi from Kenyase-Kumasi, a powerful spiritualist who maintains orthodox as well as traditional clinics. He is also linked to a new shrine being built in the United States of America.
Nana Kwaku Boateng from Ejisu Onwe near Kumasi
Nana Yaabea from Agona, a popular female spiritualist who has taken Kumasi radio by storm.
Nana Burhunu from Asawase
Nana Okomfo Anokye from Bekwai, also a powerful priest whose radio appearance has made him so popular with Ghanaians.
Togbe Kidinakpo from Fawode Adomakase, a spiritualist whose perchant for magical display always attracts audience wherever he goes.
Nana Oforiwaa From Obuasi, one of the youngest Akomfo in the gold mining city area of Obuasi. An agile dancer, her Akom dances are a marvel and is a must watch Okomfo when she dances.
Also in the line up are many spiritualists including Malams, Sheiks and Bosomfos.

Hosted by  Nana Okomfo Appiah of Dromankese, a powerful Ghanaian traditional priest, the festival started yesterday and indications is that the town has been set agog and a lot of tourists including foreign delegates are present.

Nana Okomfo Appiah who was in the news recently with a call on Ghanaians to stop patronizing Sakawa and Sika Duro rituals ( Internet Fraud and Juju Money Making), says that his festival is going to be one of kind in the whole region. Nana enthusiastically mentioned that the festival is in honour of his shrine?s deities namely Tigare Bofour,Adampan Sumyn, Mframa Bofour, Anfa Enfir Bofour, Mossi Bofour and Tongo Bofour.

According to Nana Okomfo Appiah whose many clients includes residents abroad especially in Europe and North America, the festival is attracting a lot of attention and this is evidenced in 2 important US based cultural and development organizations, the International Center for African Culture and Arts and the OBAATANPA House of Hope Inc. of New York and many individuals offering as media and other sponsors of the festival. He said his services has earned the shrine a popular name ?Aduro Y3 ?( Medicine Is Good). 

Nana who maintains Facebook and Youtube account and has a website is very busy consulting and helping people who need help in business, education, marriage, travel documentation and legalization issues, court cases and all sorts of problem. A knowledgeable herbalist, Nana says, all sorts of ailments are taken care of by his powerful deities. Nana said, all healing comes from Nyame through His assistants who are the powerful deities. He said, all healing and problems can be solved and is mainly dependent on one?s faith.

Nana says the festival is also dedicated to Ghana?s elections in December, and prayers would be said for everything to be violent free, fair and peaceful. He called on all Ghanaians to come, celebrate, have fun, receive blessings and pray for our dear nation. When we asked Nana Appiah to sum everything in simple words, he said?.this is an AKOM FOR PEACE festival in honour of Ghana?s general elections in December, 2012.
