Head coach of Ebusua Dwarfs, Professor J.K. Mintah, has parted company with the Cape Coast-based club with immediate effect, a report on Happy FM has indicated.

Coach J.E. Sarpong, who watched the Dwarfs/Medeama First Capital Plus Premier League from the T&A Park stands yesterday, is believed to be preparing to take over from the Cape Coast University Lecturer.

Professor Mintah, who is also the psychologist for the Black Stars, had expressed discontent about how his former employers dealt with him, citing the club’s inability to fly him to join Dwarfs in Angola as a classical example.

He said in an interview that the Cape Coast-based club originally arranged that he (Mintah) would join Dwarfs for their CAF Confederation tie against Petro Atletico from Montenegro where he was on national duty, but Dwarfs failed to fly him there as planned.

As a result, the team went into the game without a head coach, leading to their 0-4 thrashing, by which they exited the competition.

‘The original plan was that I join the team from Montenegro or come home (Ghana), pick my ticket and join the team. I could have used just a day to join the team, but I realized on return that there was no provision to that effect, which means my services are not needed. I don’t want to be associated with that defeat,’ said Professor Mintah.
