Enumeration of households in the Eastern Region is going on smoothly with no hitch reported since it began on June 28.
Mr Bright Neku, Eastern Regional Director of Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) in an interview with Ghana News Agency expressed satisfaction at the level of cooperation from the public so far.
He indicated that after the chalking and listing which was phase one, GSS needed to add up the field officers to meet the target by July 11 and that was being taken care of.
He urged the public to continue to cooperate with the officers for a successful exercise and commended the people in the areas with boundary issues for their calmness and participation.
The GSS has deployed over 6,500 supervisors and enumerators across the 33 Municipal and Districts in the Eastern Region for the census.
