The Ebenezer School at Tiafa has held its 5TH?Graduation Ceremony at the School premises over the weekend.
The graduands comprises of pupil?s moving from kindergarten to primary 1, primary 6 to Junior High School (JHS) and students graduating from the JHS level to Senior High Schools (SHS) in the country.
There were various performances by the pupils on poetry, drumming and dancing, parade by the school?s cadet among other activities to the admiration by parents and teachers who were present to witness the graduation ceremony.
Ebenezer School which was established 20years ago in the Tiafa Township can boost of a numerical strength of 316 pupil and 22 staff.
Headmistress of the School, Madam Abigail Kai Bossah addressing the gathering noted that the staff and pupils have worked together with a common purpose towards achieving the desired academic and social greatness of the school.
She disclosed that the school?s performance in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) has been marvelous with 100% distinctive record over the years adding that the products of the school were competing in the best Senior High Schools (SHS) in the country.
She said through the unflinching support of the staff of the school good governance was one component the school can boost of couple with strong structures to achieve results for the school.
The headmistress disclosed that the school as a knowledge based center has inadequate computers to enable pupils perfects their I.C.T mandate as a national requirement.
She appealed to government to extend the 1 computer per child project to private schools so as to achieve government?s desire of meeting an era of technology in the country.
She also called on government to construct access roads and improve the drainage system in the Tiafa Township to propel development in the area.
Madam Bossah noted the non-payment and late payment of school fees was one challenge and called on parents as matter of urgency to settle their indebtedness to the school for its smooth running.
?As staff salaries and other vital components run the school, parents should pay and also avoid pupils being sacked home for fees?, she said.
She congratulated the graduands for a great milestone and urged them to continue in their academic ladder in order to become useful adults in the future.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Ga East, Honourable Kwao Sackey also called on the parents to be role models for their children.
He said inculcating civic responsible in the lives of their children should also be paramount as this would go a long way in nation building.
