Ebo Andoh ruled out for the remainder of the season Ebo Andoh ruled out for the remainder of the season

Ghanaian winger Enoch Ebo Andoh has been shattered with the news he is out for the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury.

The 22-year-old was assessed by a specialist in London on Friday with the hope of reversing an initial assessment which diagnosed him to have raptured his anterior cruciate ligament.

Andoh who has been flying for Port Vale in the English third tier and was being monitored by Tottenham Hotspurs, Southampton and Cardiff City was replaced after lasting just 14 minutes in last week’s 2-1 defeat at Colchester United.

He had come worse off after colliding with an opponent.

An initial assessment of the injury ruled the Ghana U23 star out for the remainder of the season but a second opinion from a specialist in London was sought.

Andoh was completely shattered when the specialist confirmed earlier diagnosis and will require surgery and a long period of rehabilitation.

The former FC Porto might have played his last game for Port Vale as he is out of contract at the end of the current campaign.

Andoh’s recent injury setback now threatens a prospective opportunity with the clubs that were tracking him.

Sources close to the player however say the youngster is determined to get over this recent disappointment and come back even stronger.

“We are all gutted by the situation but this is life,” the source told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“We must all get on with things and I am very sure he will bounce back stronger than ever from this setback.”
