Mr John B. Ninson, Effutu Municipal Chief Executive has applauded people in Effutuman for adjusting their activities and schedules to make room for the four-hour disinfection exercise in the Municipality.
He made the commendation in an interview with Ghana News Agency after the exercise which was carried out at all Lorry Stations, Markets and drains in Sankro, Ansaful, Ateitu, Walabaa, Nusuakyre, Gyanganadze, and Gyahadze.
Other areas were Ponkoyiem, Nkwantanan, Fish Market, Yepimso, as well as the final waste disposal site area in the Municipality.
He said life was precious and so all people living in Effutu Municipality and the nation as a whole must value their lives and fully join the crusade to stop the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
He stated that the Assembly in collaboration with the Municipal COVID-19 Taskforce had met with market queens in the Municipality on measures to put in place to help stop the spread of the virus.
He said social distancing in the markets was their topmost priority and sensitization will continue until all the protocols put in place were adhered to, to contain the spreading of the disease, he added.
