The Member of Parliament for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, Hon Alfred Obeng-Boateng, has counseled Ghanaians to evaluate carefully parliamentary and presidential candidates before voting them into office.

He made this passionate appeal on Sunday, 25th August 2024 at Bibiani during church visitation. The MP toured four churches in Bibiani township; Winners Chapel, Mercygate Chapel, Apostles Continuation, and International Central Gospel Church.

Citing the Latin phrase “Acta non verba,” meaning “action not words,” the MP pleaded with the voters to compare the contributions of the various aspirants and their parties toward national development. He outlined ‘the phenomenal impact’ of the Free SHS policy, planting for food and jobs, one village one dam, one constituency one ambulance, and Agenda 111. Others are one district one factory, Massive road infrastructure, Ghana card, and the seminal District Road Improvement Programme ( DRIP) initiative.

According to the MP, these are the legacies of Nana Addo and Dr Bawumia. “These policies have ameliorated hardships at the national level to some extent”, the MP indicated.

At the Constituency level, Hon Obeng-Boateng urged the constituents to consider the candidate’s contributions toward national development instead of focusing on personal achievements.

He listed his financial contributions and other resources for the constituency and the entire Western North Region before and during his assumption of office. He mentioned Astro Turfs, Roads, 31 mechanized boreholes, several educational infrastructures, and sanitary facilities as some initiatives he undertook. Based on the above, the MP solicited support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and himself.

Prayers were also sought for protection and peaceful elections.

Pastors leading the churches the MP visited added their voices to the call for an animosity-free campaign and peaceful elections.

Ben Ali Seaman, Constituency Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, and Polling Station Executives accompanied the MP.
