The Electoral Commission of Ghana announced it will review a petition from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following the party’s nationwide demonstration on September 17, 2024.

The EC reiterated its openness to further discussions with the NDC, showing that it is approachable and willing to engage in constructive dialogue.
The party is advocating for a forensic audit of the voters’ register, citing discrepancies that need to be addressed before the upcoming elections.
Furthermore, the NDC has taken proactive steps by reaching out to international bodies and stakeholders to raise awareness of their concerns about the register, demonstrating their commitment to ensuring a fair electoral process.
