Voters at the Afoako R/C primary school in the Odotobri constituency around 2:00pm were allowed to vote without going through the Biometric Verification process.

About  15 voters whose names were in the register but could not be verified by the machine were allowed to vote through the manual verification.

Speaking in an interview with Abusua FM’s Osei Kwadwo, the Electoral Commission (EC) official Addai Mensah explained that the machine developed a fault hence the manual verification to prevent delays in the voting process.

According to Mr Addai they attempted to stop those who didn’t verify from voting but party agents from both parties National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) kicked against the idea.
