Emma Watson

Emma Watson is one of those actresses you can totally imagine yourself being friends with. She always seems down-to-earth and hasn’t allowed fame to corrupt her like so many other young stars. And on top of that, she has amazing fashion sense. All-in-all, she’s pretty awesome, so it’s not all that surprising to hear she recently earned the number one spot on TC Candler’s Critics List of 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2011.

And while Watson definitely isn’t lacking in the looks department, the list focuses on more than just aesthetic beauty. It also takes into regard “grace, elegance, class, poise, joy, promise, [and] hope,” which presumably all play a role in creating the “modern ideal of beauty.” Given that Watson encompasses all of the aforementioned attributes, it’s no wonder she made top billing on the list. Everything about her, from her wardrobe to her chique hairstyle, exudes elegance and beauty. Not to mention that she’s relatively drama-free – a rare quality in most Hollywood circles. The critics explained their decision to grant her the top spot: “She is the perfect role model for young women…intelligent, classy, courageous, thoughtful and humble. We can’t think of a better choice in 2011 to top our list.” How can you argue with logic like that?

Other famous ladies to make the list include the likes of Rihanna, Amanda Seyfried, Emma Stone, Olivia Wilde, and Scarlett Johansson. Surprisingly, Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie were nowhere to be found; perhaps there’s an age limit? Overall, there are some pretty decent choices in the bunch. However, it’s kind of hard to go wrong in lists like these. It’s Hollywood, so being beautiful kind of comes with the territory.
