Sunshine Stars will attempt to halt Enugu Rangers’ unbeaten run in nine league games when both sides clash at the Gateway International Stadium, Ijebu Ode in Ogun State tomorrow, in the star match of Day 15 in the current Nigeria Premier League season.

Rangers, popularly known as the Flying Antelope, suffered its only loss in the current season in Week 5 against defending champion, Dolphins, at the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt.  The Okey Emordi-tutored side, which is currently sitting atop the league ladder with 26 points from 13 games, looks to extend its unbeaten run to retain its lead on the log.

Sunshine occupies the eighth position with 18 points from 13 games. The Gbenga Ogunbote-tutored Akure Stars, still smarting from Wednesday’s 3–0 bashing of sister club, Rising Stars, will no doubt do everything to stop the rampaging Flying Antelope from sharing the spoils from tomorrow’s fixture.  One player Sunshine must give close attention to in this clash is Rangers’ diminutive midfield dynamite, Ejike Uzoenyi. The Super Eagles’ latest sensation has the capacity to torn to shreds the opponent’s defence with his dribbling runs down the flanks.

But Coach Ogunbote can count on his captain, Godfrey Oboabona, to put Uzoenyi in check. Oboabona made his debut in the Super Eagles in a competitive match the same day with Uzoenyi against Rwanda in a Nations Cup qualifier. The Sunshine’s defence ace is expected to provide answers to Uzoenyi’s antics.
