Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company has been distinguished within the “EMEA 2021 Inspiring Workplaces Awards”. Specifically, the company has been singled out as the Silver Winner in the “Inspiring Diversity & Inclusion Award” category, which recognises the activity of a company that places diversity and inclusion at the heart of its business.
The award was given by Inspiring Workplaces, an organisation resulting from the merger of the two global companies Employee Engagement Awards and the Employee Engagement Alliance, whose mission is to promote innovative workplaces and employee well-being in companies worldwide.
This award is a recognition for the company and especially for the Dive-In programme, which is aimed at ensuring that ECCBC’s policies and processes promote equality and inclusion of all employees within the company.
The project, Dive-In
Introduced in 2018, Dive-In focuses on ensuring that ECCBC’s policies and processes promote equality and equal opportunity treatment for all employees. This programme raises awareness of the broad diversity that makes up society, fostering a spirit of inclusion from within the company.
Within the framework of Dive-In, various initiatives have been carried out, such as, for example, the creation of more than 40 Dive-In ambassadors in inclusive leadership or the development of inclusive environments, among other actions with a direct impact on the company’s working methods. Awareness-raising among employees and stakeholders has also been promoted through the launch of communication campaigns such as a corporate video on Diversity and Inclusion and the celebration of key international days with events in the workplace. These actions have been recognised both externally, with the EMEA 2021 Inspiring Workplaces Awards, and internally, as shown by the increase in the D&I satisfaction rate (GPS 2020 Survey).
Xavier Aliaga, Director of Human Resources & Internal Communication at ECCBC, says: “We are very proud to receive one of the awards from The EMEA 2021 Inspiring Workplaces Awards, as it is a recognition that highlights our commitment to equality and diversity, core values at ECCBC and that we have been able to see reflected in Dive-In, a project that has provided us with very positive results.
This award encourages us to continue working to be more inclusive and to promote diversity, values that are part of our DNA and that are reflected in our daily operations and in our commitment to the empowerment of both our talent and the communities in the countries where we operate”.
