Eric Akoto, one of the country?s radio personalities on Kasoa-based Pink FM, has called on Ghanaian radio presenters to use their various programmes to educate the people against social vices, apart from using it to promote music and culture.
The presenter, who believes radio plays an important role in the society, is well-known for his maturity and intelligence in the use of Akan proverbs, novels and the history behind any ethnic group in the country and Africa in general, to educate his listeners.
Eric Akoto, also known as the Golden Boy on radio, told BEATWAVES that as the host of ?Adee Akye Aba? on Pink 96.9 FM, ?I want to be unique on radio. I want to use my programmes to educate the listeners on issues affecting the society.?
He said his vision is to work harder with his team to improve the quality of ?Adee Akye Abia? so as to consolidate his listenership and also make the stationthe most-listened to in Kasoa and its environs.
Eric Akoto?s two programmes on radio address social issues in our communities by giving the platform to callers to share their experiences on selected issues.
