Ethiopia wins UN Award for excellence in promoting investment

The Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) has won a United Nations award for its outstanding performance in targeted promotion, facilitation and execution of sustainable investment projects, the EIC said.

The award is presented to recognize recipients’ exceptional achievements in promoting and facilitating foreign direct investment (FDI) that contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals, according to an EIC statement sent to Xinhua on Tuesday.

The award was announced by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) during the 9th Investment, Enterprise and Development Commission on Monday in Geneva.

Other recipients of the award were the Mauritius Board of Investment, and COFIDES of Spain. Enditem
