– Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has called for business and investment relations between Ethiopia and Italy to move to a new level while holding discussion with visiting President Sergio Mattarella of Italy.

— Ethio-South African Business Forum opened in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Monday.The conference is attended by senior government officials and representatives of more than 50 companies from the South African private sector and Ethiopian partners.

Opening the Forum, Getachew Regassa, Secretary General, Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce & Sectoral Association, said his chamber in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working to enhance bilateral and multilateral trade and business relations between Ethiopia and other countries, including South Africa. — Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome has held discussion with visiting Italian President Sergio Mattarella on Monday.

The discussion was focused on economic cooperation, migration, peace and security issues.

Mattarella said Italy has high interest to boost relations with Ethiopia in the areas of trade, investment, tourism and capacity building.
