A total of 49 Albanian citizens who have broken the rules of free movement in the Schengen Zone on Tuesday were repatriated through a special flight from France, local media reported.
The operation was conducted by Albanian State Police in cooperation with French law enforcement agencies.
Among those arriving in Albania, 25 were sent back from France, four from Belgium, six from Finland, seven from Germany, three from Spain and four from Italy.
According to Albanian Daily News, all of them have been penalized with three years’ ban of travelling into the Schengen zone countries.
Since Dec. 15, 2010, Albanian citizens holding a biometric passport have been able to travel freely to Schengen Countries, and to stay for a maximum of 90 days within a six months’ period. Enditem
