NATO, RED CROSS HEADS TO MEET

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will meet with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Peter Maurer, at NATO Headquarters.

NATO CHIEF TO MEET WITH UK DEFENSE SECRETARY

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will meet with UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace at NATO Headquarters during the latter’s visit to Brussels.

MEETING OF POLICY ADVISERS OF NORMANDY FOUR TO TAKE PLACE

The meeting of policy advisers to the leaders of the Normandy Four will take place on January 26 in Paris.

Russia will be represented at the talks by Kremlin Deputy Chief of Staff Dmitry Kozak. The sides will discuss enforcement of the Minsk agreements and a peaceful resolution of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

KNESSET SPEAKER TO ADDRESS BUNDESTAG

Speaker of the Israeli Parliament Mickey Levy will address the German Bundestag in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day during his working visit to Berlin.

During his trip, Levy has also been scheduled to meet with new German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, as well as visit the historic House of Wannsee.

GERMAN, UK DEFENSE MINISTERS TO MEET OVER UKRAINE

German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht will meet with her British counterpart, Ben Wallace, in Berlin.

The two will discuss European security and developments in the Ukraine conflict, as well as the situation in the Sahel region, bilateral cooperation projects and updates to NATO’s strategic concept.

UN SECURITY COUNCIL BRIEFING ON SYRIA TO TAKE PLACE

United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen will brief the UN Security Council on the situation in Syria.

ECHR TO CONSIDER MH17 PLANE CRASH CASE

The European Court of Human Rights will consider the claim of the Netherlands and Ukraine against Russia in the case of the crash of the MH17 plane.
