David Akwasi Yeboah, 28, a farmer, has been sentenced to three years imprisonment in hard labour by a Fiapre Circuit court for stealing a gas cylinder and stove at Chiraa.

Yeboah pleaded guilty and was sentenced on his own plea by the court presided over by Mr. Benjamin Osei Yaw.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Mawunyo Nanegbe told the court that the convict and complainant stayed in the same area at Chiraa and on June 14, the convict together with another person came to the complainant?s house for a mosquito insecticide.

He said the convict returned later in the evening to the house under the pretext that he left something there.
