Former Gov Ayo Fayose of Ekiti has admonished his successor, former Gov. Segun Oni, not to be disturbed by the Supreme Court ruling which dismissed his appeal.
Oni had dragged Gov. Kayode Fayemi to court challenging his victory in?the 2010 governorship poll.
But?on Friday, the Supreme Court affirmed Fayemi’s victory at the poll.
Reacting to the Supreme Court judgment,?Fayose said: “Oni has?fought a good fight and history will be on your side as a gallant and dogged fighter.”
Fayose, who spoke through his spokesman, Idowu Adelusi, further said:?”The ACN?and?Gov. Kayode Fayemi should not rejoice as this is only a pyrrhic victory.
“The ouster of the ACN and Fayemi out of Ekiti Government House is inevitable in 2014.”
Fayose, therefore, called on the PDP members in the?state to unite and forge a common front to wrestle power from the ACN in the 2014 governorship election in the state.
NAN? recalls that Fayose was the governor of Ekiti from May 29, 2003, to Oct. 16, 2006.
