The First Capital Plus Premier League
First Capital Plus Bank is considering terminating their sponsorship deal for the Ghana Premier League according to reports in the local media.
The Bank took a bold step of going into a $10m sponsorship deal with the Ghana Football Association in 2014 for a five-year period but two years down the line that relationship could end.
GHANASoccernet.com understands a recent change in management is the chief reason behind this.
But an insider of the indigenous Ghanaian bank has told GHANAsoccernet.com that reports are wild and unsubstantiated.
“The Bank has challenges on the way the league is being organized but to say they want to pull out is way off the mark,” the insider told GHANAsoccernet.com
“I have heard those comments too in the media but those are not the position of the bank at the moment.”
