Timonthy Fosu-Mensah excelled in attack for Manchester United

Prodigious Dutch-born Ghanaian starlet Timothy Fosu-Mensah proved his versatility by successfully playing in attack for Manchester United’s U19 side in their 0-0 stalemate with Russian side CSKA Moscow on Tuesday.

The 17-year-old was acquired from Ajax Amsterdam in a move sanctioned by Louis van Gaal due to his defensive qualities.

But in Tuesday night’s clash manager Nicolas Butt deployed him in attacking role and he excelled though he was unable to find the back of the net.

Mensah was born to Ghanaian parents in the Netherlands but has opted to play for the European giants and is currently featuring for them at U19 side.

The Ghana FA is yet to take a step to lure him to switch allegiance to the West African giants.
