Four Ethiopians sentenced for terror offenses

The Ethiopian Federal High Court on Friday sentenced four Ethiopians to prison terms for preparing to engage in terror acts in Ethiopia’s central Oromia regional state.

The four defendants were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 56 months to 66 months.

The defendants who were convicted of forming contacts with leaders of the banned rebel group Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) based in Kenya were caught preparing to commit terror acts on October 2015.

They were also convicted of procuring illegal firearms to conduct terror attacks in various parts of Oromia regional state. Enditem
