France and Angola are working toward an agreement on defense and security cooperation, the French ambassador to Angola said in Luanda on Tuesday.
The agreement will cover such areas as peacekeeping, maritime safety off the Gulf of Guinea, the French envoy, Sylvain Itte, told reporters after meeting Angolan Minister of National Defense Salviano de Jesus Sequeira.
Issues related to the central and southern region of the African continent and other matters of common interest were also discussed at the talks, reports said. Enditem
