Frank Acheampong has gatecrashed the Ghana squad after scoring his debut goal for Anderlecht runs the rule over the performance of Ghanaian players abroad and select the best eleven performers from the weekend?s action.

Impressive winger Frank Acheampong gatecrashes into the starting eleven while Davidson Drobo-Ampem and Michael Essien hold down their places in the team.

The big center-back was in commanding shape, marshaled the back with superiority of some sort as he helped Esbjerg continue their amazing performance in the Danish top-flight.

With his presence, AGF ? the visitors, looked pathetic and toothless.

Mawouna Kodjo Amevor – Go Ahead Eagles

A Dutch-born youngster, Amevor helped the newly-promoted side to beat ADO Den Haag 2-1.

He played an influential in the win for the GAE at full-back.

Rabiu Mohammed ? Evian TG

Evian opened their campaign with a 1-1 home draw against Sochaux. It was Rabiu?s brilliance in midfield that helped Evian to secure a vital draw against a resilient Sochaux side.

He coordinated well in the middle with his splitting passes and ability to destroy opposition midfield works.

Michael Essien ? Chelsea

With concerns growing over his ability to secure a regular place in the new Chelsea midfield, the 30-year-old showed just why is the right man to play in the defensive midfield role for Jose Mourinho?s side.

Against AS Roma, he was just fine in the middle and troubled the Italians.

Shadrack Eghan ? FC Twente

The 19-year-old youngster saw his first full 90 minutes of action in the Dutch Eredivisie and he gave some glistering display against Feyenoord in a crucial 4-1 win for Twente.

His incisive passes and split-second decisions on the ball aided Twente in the midfield.

Eghan trained with the Ghana U20 side at Legon ? PRESEC last June.

Frank Acheampong ? Anderlecht

What a way to start off his season, Acheampong off the bench at the Cristal Arena and killed off the game for the giants.

His technique was world-class and the precocity he exhibited was great.

Maxwell Acosty Boadu ? Chievo Verona

With Chievo Verona losing 2-0 against Atalanta on Saturday, the 21-year-old came off the bench to half the deficit and set up goals for Cesar and Maxi.

He was quick, sharp and lethal on the ball as he served as a constant threat for Atalanta.

Erixon Danso – Dordrecht

The former Valencia II winger netted a brace for Dordrecht as they booked an emphatic win over Achilles ?29 in the Dutch second-tier.

His opener was a great finish while his second was a mark of a top-class finish.
