Vice Presidential candidate for the Progressive People’s Party (P.P.P) has said that free education is possible in Ghana and it is only the P.P.P which can make it a reality.
Speaking on pink fm?s political talk show, ?Election Platform? with Awudu Alhassan the former GBC boss said, ?There is money in the system to make free education a possibility in Ghana. For instance, if you consider the amount we spend on corruption alone which is around GHC 3bn a year then I believe if the issue of corruption is takled seriously then we can make a head way.
?There is also a lot of financial wastage in our system which if solved appropriately could go a long way to adding something to the national purse.
?I believe you?ve heard a lot of educational promises from others but ours is built on three strong keys. That is, free, continuous, compulsory and quality education which will take into account producing quality teachers?.
?The P.P.P will invest in areas where we will yield positive results. My brother, if you think education is too expensive, try ignorance,? Mrs Lokko added.
On health the P.P.P?s vice presidential candidate said they will make the health insurance nationwide when given the nod.
