In the exercise, 300 birds were destroyed over a fresh outbreak of bird flu.
A fresh case of the bird flu was recorded in the area recently at a poultry farm and the farmer lost 50 of his birds.
News Ghana can report that a team of veterinary and environmental officials at the weekend also stepped in and destroyed an additional 250 birds, eight crates of eggs, four bags of poultry feed, and empty egg crates suspected to have been infected with the disease.
The step taken was to avert a further spread of the disease.
Meanwhile, the owner of the farm and his family have also been handed over to the Ghana Health Service (GHS) for screening.
