GCB Bank PLC has affirmed its commitment to bolstering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by focusing on digital transformation.

 

During the GCB SME capacity building seminar in Accra on Tuesday (23 July), the bank’s managing director, Kofi Adomakoh, emphasized the crucial role of digital tools in enhancing business operations amidst today’s competitive landscape.

 

“Digital transformation is not just a trend but a necessity,” Adomakoh underscored, highlighting its potential to improve customer service, satisfaction, and loyalty through better insights and analytics.

 

He further pointed out the pivotal role of digital marketing and online sales platforms in expanding SMEs’ market reach globally and locally.

The seminar, themed “Empowering Growth and Optimizing People and Resources for the Digital Era,” aimed to equip SMEs with knowledge and confidence to drive their transformation journey effectively.

 

Linus Kumi, Director of Corporate Banking at GCB Bank, reiterated its commitment to nurturing SMEs nationwide and fostering their growth and success.

 

Maxwell Ampong, CEO of Maxwell Investments Group, highlighted the transformative impact of AI and machine learning on SME operations. He cited examples of AI-driven chatbots in retail, enhancing customer support and personalizing shopping experiences to boost satisfaction and loyalty.

 

The initiative reflects GCB Bank’s strategic approach to empowering SMEs through digital innovation, paving the way for enhanced competitiveness and sustainable growth in the market.
