Miss Owusuua emerged the winner of the promo through a draw held at the GCB Bank Head Office in Accra last month.
Other winners included Madam Gladys Appiah of the Kade branch, who was presented with a 5Kva generator as the second prize winner, with Mr Angbonzan Senty of the Elubo branch, also taking home 5Kva generator as the third prize, while Mr Gidisu Wisdom a customer of the Hohoe branch won 1Kva generator as the fourth prize.
For his prize as the fifth winner, Mr Sampson Abrokwa of the Derby Avenue branch took home a 1Kva generator, as Mr Manu Bob Brown of the Bechem Branch, won a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge as the sixth prize and Mr Bernard Acheampong of the Dormaa Ahenkro Branch, went home with a Samsung Note 1 Tablet as the seventh prize winner.
Speaking at the ceremony to mark the final presentation of the “Big Money Promo” Awards, Mr Simon Dornoo, Managing Director (MD), GCB Bank Limited, said the “Big Money Promo” which was launched in April this year aimed at deepening the habit of savings among customers.
He said the event, which formally brought down the curtain on an industry leading campaign, set the tone for new initiatives aimed at improving the living standards of customers.
“GCB has rolled out new brand promises innovative products, improved customer experience and an opportunity for customers to maximize the return on their money which includes an Enhanced SME offering in response to customer feedback for faster turnaround time,” he said.
Mr Dornoo said GCB’s objective in the relationship with their customers was to build a life-long partnership.
“We are moving beyond banking to life-style enhancement of our customers, this will bring real meaning to our tag line ”your bank for life,” he added.
He disclosed that in 2016, GCB would roll out new branch formats designed to enhance customer experience, adding that GCB would open new branches in areas where they were currently not represented in order to bring banking closer to their customers.
According to the MD, GCB’s electronic product suite would bring banking to homes and offices.
“We want you to bank anywhere and at anytime, we are channeling more effort into understanding your needs and providing excellent services to enhance your lifestyle, and in this regard we will be launching another ground-breaking electronic product early next year,” he said.
He congratulated all winners in the six-month long promo, and promised customers of better services in the ensuing years.
Mrs Doris Wunu, Head of the GCB Bank Consumer Banking, expressed gratitude to all internal and external partners, including the National Lotteries Authority, Gaming Commission, Colleagues and Teams of GCB, for their enormous support to touch lives.
Mrs Wunu pledged more innovation and creativity that would change the lives of their customers in the New Year, just as how the “Big Money Promo” had impacted lives in the last six months.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, the elated Miss Owusuua expressed her happiness, and encouraged the public to get involved in such promotions, as they were real, and would help better their lot.
“It does not come with having much money, instead any amount will make you a winner, this is my first time of taking part in such a promotion and God has blessed me,” she said.
