Ghana Commercial Bank Ltd. (GCB) has launched a new promotion to increase uptake of its electronic banking and card products.
The promotion dubbed the “Experience and Win? is to encourage high usage among customers, ?as well as reward new and loyal customers signed onto the Bank?s Readycash/MasterCard, Internet and SMS banking products.
GCB is also rewarding 50 SMS customers who would have performed the most transactions using their mobile phones during the promotion period.
As part of the promotion, all newly registered card holders are being taught how to use their cards and this is expected to increase ATMs and cards uptake from 655,147 to 1.0million by the end of the year.
The six-month reward-based promotion is targeted at e-banking customers and each day, 400 customers around the country will be rewarded for their frequent use of the ATM.
At ?the end of the promotion, 50 customers of the Bank stand the chance of winning GHC100.00 for performing the most transactions using their mobile phone as part of the rewards.
With internet banking, 50 new customers nation-wide who use internet banking, will be rewarded with GH?50.00 at the end of the campaign.
The e-banking products when adopted will avail customers of the benefits of the robust banking platform offered by GCB while enjoying the convenience of having access to their account without being physically present at the Bank?s branch.
This initiative is in fulfilment of the pledge made by the Bank to stakeholders that it will pursue broad objectives to ensure the delivery of quality service through the provision of an appropriate mix of products and services to suit the changing demands of customers. Staff are however excluded from the customer rewards.
