Social Prisons Donation

The Ghana Academy of Muslim Professionals (GAMP) has donated packed foods and various items worth GHC 6,000 to the inmates and officers of the James Camp Prisons in Accra.

The assortment of packed foods, drinks, bottled water, soap and clothes were donated as part of the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.

This was contained in a statement issued in Accra by GAMP and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).

A similar donation was also made in collaboration with Café Mando at the Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital.
Hajj Rayhann Shaban, the Chairman of Da’wah and Publications Committee of GAMP, said the gesture forms part of the organization’s social responsibility to the nation.

He said after the one month long fasting it is worth sharing and caring for the less fortunate.
Hajj Shaban said the organization intends to expand its frontiers in the coming years.

Officials of the James Camp Prisons expressed appreciation to GAMP for the gesture and called for more support from individuals and groups.
