Ghana’s Chief Athletics Coach, Albert Nukpeza who has been at post since 2009 has vowed to step down should Proffessor Francis Doodo, current Chairman of the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) retain his seat in the upcoming congress of the Association.
According to the coach who was left out of the Ghana team that emplaned for the Commonwealth Games staged in Glasglow, Prof Doodo has proven that he is high incompetent for the seat he occupies.
Stating that the Prof Doodo has since his ascention of the seat as Chairman of the GAA interfered in the selection of Athletes and Coaches for the national team.
“though it is not his job, he has taken unilateral decisions in the selection of coaches and athletes despite knowing it was the job of the technical handlers”, the level six coach said.
He further stated that je was not going to vote for Prof Doodo in the elections and was hoping that whoever contends him wins.
